What we believe

We believe in the Bible, God’s word to us, the supreme source of truth and authority for Christian beliefs and living.

We believe in God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe who has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that human beings are made in the spiritual image of God, yet alienated from Him by sin.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who is the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven and will return again to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God to us, made effective by personally trusting in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who is equal with God the Father and God the Son, who makes us aware of our need for Christ and lives in every Christian providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.

We believe that the Church is a universal body of all who have received and follow Jesus, comprised of local congregations who have associated themselves in faith and fellowship.

We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial in which the bread and cup represent Christ’s broken body and shed blood.

We believe we were created for eternity and that God will judge all who have ever lived.
